The wind is screaming outside my window. I fear the weather is preparing to morph into something completely different again.

141 this morning.

Mbuster, I bought a new central air unit in the last two years - I'd watch out for the expensive, new models using the new coolants - they're prone to pricey leaks and don't cool as well, often requiring new cooling coils in the central unit. The EPA is trying to mandate the change by making the old coolant expensive, but it's still cheaper and better in most cases. If you read threads on technician web sites, you'll get some good guidance.

The whole ketosis affair makes me nervous as I seem to have no in-between level. Once I start showing moderate ketones on the dip sticks, I will be losing up to 5 lbs. a day and am very shortly in DKA.

I've discovered that the sugar-free caramel flavoring made by Torani is quite delicious in my bullet-proof coffee and adds well less than 1 gram of carbs. Worth a try if you like flavored coffee.
