As I see more and more people lately that have died, I just can't help but notice that none eat low carb. Could be coincidence, I know. Just can't get it out of my head!

End rant.
100% agree, and I wish all Pre's took it as seriously as it should be, but it is a cocky, overconfident bunch, we pre's. I tested probably right at dawn phenom, because I was back in the hi 80s a few minutes after.

Im just overwhelmed with the acid reflux severity I am having. I also have a wonderful chest hot rash. Course, it gets me all worked up to have chest pains.

Im in a viscous circle. It will even out eventually- i crave normal and calm.

89 this morning. The rains have come, we have received 1/2 inch so far and it is supposed to rain through Saturday so more to come. Of course some areas are going to get too much and some homes in Southern Californians have been evacuated due to possible mud slides.
Mary, I have outlived several of my friends and co-workers and it can be sobering. Some just go too soon, but I guess that was their destiny. We go on and do the best we can in this world.

I had a lovely 87 today, but ate a taco soup a neighbor brought me this morning with beans and corn in it and shamelessly just ate it!

71 (3.9) this blizzardy morning, 78 (4.3) at bedtime.

Well, I am smack in the middle of a blizzard! It is blowing and snowing. I can't tell how much it has snowed as the wind has blown it off. The up side is it is clearing quite a bit of the area I would need to shovel. I wonder if this is the storm you are going to get in a few days Mary? It is supposed to last through Sat, 11AM here.

@CD, congrats on the dualie! How kind that they were trying to get it through on your B-day.

@Mary, so sorry for your losses.

@Walkerwally, glad you are getting some rain there. Hopefully it will help the farmers out. And hopefully no homes are lost to slides.

Thanks, GrammaB, yeah areas in Southern California where there were fires are bracing for mudslides and they are an unfortunate consequence of heavy rains. On the plus side the Sierras are getting snow. A month ago Mammoth was going to shut down for the season and send everyone home. People were renting skateboards instead of skis and snowboards ! Now they are measuring snow levels in feet and all runs and lifts are open.

3.9 this morning.

Predicted 25C this Saturday March 1st.

I'm up and about early as today I'm attending the diabetes seminar I mentioned in another thread. I'll report back.

James I'm hoping that someone on your side of the world can assist with how to obtain test strips at reasonable cost. What did your doctor say about your current numbers? Did you have blood tests?

Congrats CD and welcome to the world of dual citizenship. I have both British and Australian passports.

Mary, sorry that so many friends/relatives have passed recently.

JT, gotta watch that bingo - it's heavily carb laden!
