A 91 (5.1) this morning. Ate supper at Western Sizzler buffet last night. Had to have the fried catfish, but everything else came from the salad bar. Small portion of cottage cheese and buttermilk ranch dressing with salad 2nd and 3rd place for carbs, behind the cornmeal on the fish.

70F, overcast and breezy. Just back from the dentist.

101

I'm on 2 X 850 mg Metformin. I'm due for my 2nd blood test in July and I was wondering if (and I know this is a question for my doctor) I take the Metformin the morning of the test or just go without until I return home and have breakfast? I see that Metformin has been very effective in lowering my BG levels. What do others do? I'm guessing wait until after the test.

Hey tomm- some of that number could be the CarbSmart bars you ate showing up- just make sure you watch that- you were 10 points lower recently. Mark that trend!

Thank you so much! It feels like all of my energy is drained. I have been so charged lately- hate that the pollen is bringing me down. One more month and I should be back to normal!!

Tom --

No. Keep taking your Metformin as you normally do. The level of Metformin builds up in the body and then maintains at that level, as you continue to take it. You don't stop or delay taking it for blood tests.

Doing a happy dance with 5.3 this morning.

John, I do hope your meeting goes well so that you can just get on with things. Thinking of you.

Mollie, allergies are so controlling and hard to manage at times. I consider myself to be only a mild hat fever sufferer but some years are so much worse. Hope it settles down quickly.

Really late to post!! 62 (3.43) this cloudy morning, 72 (3.99) at bedtime.

@John, good luck with your meeting.

@Mary, it's weird when the numbers go like that!!

@wallerwally yeah, I'm going to call the dr tomorrow. I don't remember any of the spots I have had frozen off before hurting like this or taking this long to heal. I didn't have to do rads or chemo or meds with the breast cancer, I sure don't want to go through it for my ear!!!

@Mollie, hope you feel better soon!
