83 breezy and a bit overcast showers expected today. Rain here can be very localized with a cloudburst at work with nearly an inch dumped and 10 miles away at home near the mountains, not a drop.

70 (3.87) this cloudy morning, 83 (4.5) at bedtime.

69įF with periodic thunderstorms. Quite a bit of rain overnight. Thunderstorms in forecast for the next few days. It figures because my peonies just bloomed a few days ago so the wet and wind is making them hang their beautiful heads. I hate it when that happens!!

So I tested the 2 Bean Salad all by itself yesterday and it isn't bad, so the high night before last must have been just one of those quirky d things. Here are the results:

before: 78
.5 hr after: 88
1 hr after: 93
1.5 hr after: 93
2 hr after: 84

I was going to do 2.5 hr also, but got sidetracked and forgot to. But I'm good with what I got and since bg was coming back down, I've got a new salad for my recipe list!

How could you be a Type 1 and not on insulin?

You are right, I am technically type 1.5. My pcp called me up couple of weeks back with the GAD result and told me that I am type 1. He didn't know LADA. I will change it to 1.5 in my signature to be correct.

However I saw my endo today and after much persuasion she has agreed to start me on Bolus insulin.

Not at all. I just happened to be reading this thread and noticed your post earlier that you were hoping to start insulin and looked to the left, noticing that you were a Type 1. I then just wondered why you weren't on insulin already if you were a T1, that's all.

157 this morning.

How often must we see LADA misdiagnosed? It could also be that there is no appropriate code for it on their forms. I could write volumes based upon my wife's experience in diagnosing to codes and forms to conform to insurance and government requirements. All of the statistics we read are skewed as a result, not to mention patients' understanding of their diagnoses.

Such a very great pity the world's rush to standardized health care habitually neglects the individual!

Speaking of which, I got a letter yesterday from my endo informing me that she's leaving the practice. Rats! Now I've got to break in a new one and the possibilities are few...
