We are enjoying a cold front that edged hurricane Arthur. No complaints about cooler than normal temps from me!

121 today
My will power was pretty good with the holiday yesterday until the homemade baked beans came out of the smoker one of my favorites for sure also had a little more canned bread than I probably should have. Managed to stay away from everything else including a huge pile of deserts.
Back on track today.

Have a great day everyone.

167 this morning.

Our little gathering was swell even though it was unseasonably cold with heavy rain yesterday.

It's so odd that in the space of a couple of months we've acquired three new friends, all remarkably compatible. Something we'd not managed to do for nearly 30 years!

Thankfully, none are in either the music or shrink business.

69 today. Surprised that I'm still keeping these levels. Tonight/tomorrow will be the challenge as our town's firework were postponed until tonight due to flooding of the staging area. Hopefully the idiots who feel it's nice to shoot off concussion fireworks around a an area full of combat vets won't be too bad tonight.

106 this morning. Great day yesterday. We are off to a birthday party today for one of my son's friends.

I relapsed from smoking back around February. I smoked for years and then quit when I found out I was pregnant. I started again when he was about four months old, smoking outside only. He was horribly sick after he was born and the constant crying and sickness got to me, so I had relapsed. I quit when he was two and then didn't smoke again, until I picked one up this past February. I have been smoking since then, and decided that yesterday would again be the last day that I smoke. Here's hoping that it's nice and smooth, to quit!

Have a great day, everyone!

98 (5.4) this morning. Woke three times last night with bad leg cramps, I think that may have had an effect on my bg this morning.

@ Mary, I found it very easy to quit smoking but had a horrible
record for staying that way. Quit many times and started again. I switched to cigars about 20 years ago and still every time I quit I talked myself in to thinking that I would only have one a day but that never worked. I finally admitted to myself that I am addicted and have no control, as long as they are here I am going to smoke them. It's been two years now and as long as I don't buy any I'm good. I wish you success and know you will make it. I believe it's well worth the effort.

The biggest lie I tell myself is "I don't need to write that down. I'll remember it"

4.4 (79).

We had a doozy of a thunderstorm pass through about 2:00 am last night. (Or should that be 'this morning'?) I had to close not only my bedroom window, but also my living room window as even with the balcony overhang, water was still spraying in. The corner at the end of the block was still completely flooded this morning.

81 (4.48) again this morning, 82 (4.5) at bedtime.

80įF, high clouds and humid, yuk!

@Tamagno, how nice to find new friends that really click!

@Mary, I've never smoked, but I know it is a tough one to kick. Best of luck to you! If you need some Reiki, let me know.

You remind me of DLC, we haven't heard from her in a while. Hoping her quitting is still going strong.

My cat has had another eruption of his rodent virus. His timing is impeccable as usual. I noticed the first swelling in the corner of his mouth on Thursday evening, so now I have to wait until Monday to get him into the vet. I feel so bad for him, all he has been doing is sleeping yesterday and so far today too.
