I got an 84 this morning. So that is 83,83, 84, 84 for the last 4 days. Im snappin on myself!

Gorgeous day in DC this morning, bad storms coming in this evening and tomorrow to cool the area down out of the 90s to get us in the low 80s. Sounds perfect!

I agree with Mollie, WalkerWally, that does sound scary! Fairly ordinary summer weather here on the Other Side in Connecticut, which is to say hot and humid with frequent thunder storms.

Our Australian Shepherd, Elsa, has a bulging disk currently responding well to prednisone and pain meds. I'm hoping that does the trick! Even at 14, it's hard to keep her still once she's excited...
Tamango:

Those disks are terribly painful, so glad prednisone and meds are making a difference for Elsa (I almost named Emmie "Elsa"!). 14 year old? What a blessing! I love the senior dogs!

8.2 (147), which was horrifying as my previous high FBG read in the last month or so has been 6.5 (117). Then I discovered that I did not take my evening dose of Metformin last night -- the "Sunday" box in my "Evening" meds strip was still full.

87 (4.8) this morning. They are making amazing progress with the fire. It's 60% contained as of this morning. Weather forecast is for 40% chance of rain and thunderstorms today. Could help as long as lightening doesn't start another fire. It's still going to be hot, it was 101F (38C) yesterday and is going to be in the 90's today with high humidity.

Snap Rahul, 81 (4.48) here too! 88 (4.87) at bedtime.

80F partially cloudy and humid. Had some rain overnight and thunderstorms predicted for later this afternoon.

@Tamagno, I meant to say yesterday that I thought your method of testing the nuked water was very clever.

@Wally, glad to hear the fire is getting controlled. My last summer in CA we had a huge fire very close to my home. I had all my important papers and belongings in my car for 2 weeks and every time I left to go some where I said "Good bye little house", to my home as it might not be there when I got back. I know exactly how scary fire is! And dry lightening scares the carp out of me!!

94 again this morning

Today we head for Washington DC to visit family and attend my niece's wedding. Glad to hear the weather is going to be cooler than normal. But horrified at the violent storms the cold air is bringing (and not thrilled that we are going to drive through said storms).

118 this morning.

A good start to the day. My to-do list is dwindling to the things I've been avoiding, notably rebuilding the driveway gates.

Owing to the cost of steel or aluminum, I'd hit on a scheme of making them from PVC many years ago. Painted black they look like wrought iron, are lightweight and have been very durable.

Now I've just got to remember how I did it...

6.3 (113). Not bad, but I do like numbers below 6...

We're having a heat wave here (or what passes for one up here; in this marginally sub-arctic climate, temperatures above 80F are unusual, and we may get to 90 today or tomorrow.) I don't tolerate heat well; I prefer the cold. Could the added stress of the heat be affecting my blood sugar? I don't sleep well because of the heat, and need extra caffeine during the day to make it through the day...
