110 this morning which is pretty low for me.

103 degrees and sunny.

I think I've been eating way too much protein, so I'm going to see if I can increase vegetables and fat and cut down on the meat and cheese.

Going in for class #3 of 4 this afternoon. I think the diabetes dietician is going to be there to tell us how to eat - which I'm sure will include a high quantity of carbs.

68 (3.77) this breezy cloudy morning, 76 (4.2) at bedtime.

80įF the breeze has cleared the air nicely but if it changes direction, the smoke will be back.

@Tomm, smile and nod politely, smile and nod........

121 today. It is been in mid 80s for quite a few days and one day your body decides to remind you that you are diabetic. It is a struggle

138 this morning.

Nancy, I have the most wonderful memories of Skyline Drive, 1976, a new motorcycle, a fresh MasterCard, and youth...

Today, however, will be much more plebeian as I attempt to understand the vagaries of my CGM's alarm system that seems to go off regularly when not wanted and not enough when I need it.

I intend to resort to my usual last and most-loathed resource, the documentation.

93 this morning.

The Skyline was glorious, the first half of the Blue Ridge Parkway had its beauty moments....interspersed with dense fog and driving rain. We are taking the interstate the rest of the way home. Will finish the Parkway some day when the sun is shining and we can actually see the views.

Hi wonderful people!

It's been ages since I've posted. I'm still focusing on quitting smoking.

I hope everyone is well and getting wonderful numbers!

My BG numbers are fantastic finally! I rarely test these days but when I do they range from low 5's FBG to high 5's/low 6's an hour after a LC/HF meal. I'm sure smoking was contributing to keeping my numbers high.

So if you smoke and find your BG numbers are still a little high, consider quitting.

Stay well ♥

Non smoker for 3 months.

100 this morning.

Speaking of 100, that's where our temperature is headed by tomorrow afternoon.

Good to see you, DLC. I've recently jumped on (and off) the smoking wagon myself. Trying to not do it, yet I've fallen to temptation a time or two after quitting. Here's to getting right back on.

126 this morning and I'm surprised it's not higher. Instead of going to the Diabetes class #3, I went to Urgent Care for this pain I've been experiencing which yesterday got so bad I was afraid I was going to pass out and now I'm taking pain pills and a muscle relaxer.

The doctor initially thought it was a kidney problem, but when he came back he said my urine only showed one thing: ketones. That made me smile. He said it was because I'm not drinking water. I know otherwise.
