114 (6.3) this morning. At least I appear to be over the maddening cough and can get a decent nights sleep.
Now if I can just get past this cold and get back to better numbers. It's interesting how my perspective has changed. A few months ago I would have been pleased as punch to have my recent numbers, but after a couple of months of running about 20 or so points lower I am now not happy. Well, I'm not upset, just miffed but in reality I know why I am running higher and I think my highest reading in the last few days was 126 after a mea,l so I really don't have anything to fret about, I just want to be back where I was, and I know I will.

It's great to see you're pulling out if it, Wally . . . reminds me of the days when I was still working away from home & getting exposed to every germ that came down the pike. I'd catch cold about every winter & it would turn into bronchitis, and I'd spend the next two months getting shed of the cough. Cough so much my ribs would hurt. So happy you're getting better!

Thanks Shanny. Yeah, the cough was the worse, kept waking me up all night long, but that seems to be over and the last two nights I have been able to get some decent sleep. I want to get back to walking and will as soon as my toe gets better. It's still a bit sore but at least it looks much better, kind of red but not purple like a ripe plum. Reminder to self, look where you are walking.

115/114

I got my new meter yesterday and did my first FBG test. It was within one point of my Relion Prime. New meter is a Wavesense Presto which after a lot of online research convinced me to be the most accurate of small pocket meters I could buy.

It's amazing to me that my Relion seems a lot closer to what I believe my results to be since I recently opened my 3rd pack of strips a couple of days ago.

I will test using two and maybe even three meters for a while and use what seems the most accurate and live with it. In my work I use precise measuring instruments and the results determine what I do to correct a problem. I can't deal with imprecise and highly inaccurate BG readings. I think I'm getting closer.

78 (4.3) this cloudy morning, 82 (4.5) at bedtime.

@Wally, glad to hear you are over the cough. Being able to get a good night's sleep will help a lot with the rest of it.
