65 (3.6) this cold morning, 79 (4.37) at bedtime.

Yep, that cold blast is scheduled to hit us starting tomorrow night. Won't be any nights above freezing for the duration of the 10 day forecast and the days are predicted to be in the high 20's and low 30's. And there will be snow too. I don't mind the snow as long as I don't have to go somewhere.

My long johns have been out about a month, since the last freeze we had!!

Yep, OWC's been wearing his long johns for a few days . . . and we have a fire laid in the stove all ready to be lit. Hate to light it when the days still warm up in the 50s, but it won't be long before we need to stoke it through the nights.

Yep, the days of cheap natural gas bills (summertime/fall) are soon to be over.

Dang that looks messy, I just got my long johns out, it seems you have already had them out. I love looking at the snow, just hate to have to drive in it.

108 this morning. 2 cups of bulletproof coffee held me from 7:00 AM till 5:00 PM. A test just now revealed 106. Not eating for long periods seems to keep the numbers high. Yesterday, late lunch and before dinner was 94.

Not eating for long periods CAN keep your numbers high, because if no food is going in, your liver thinks there's a famine & it must help out by dumping glucose into your bloodstream to keep you from starving.

If you're keep the liver's stores of glycogen low by not eating carbs, then there isn't quite so much inventory to convert to glucose and the liver dumps are smaller.

260 this morning. A long story that I'll spare you! Managed to avoid the ER, but it was a long night.

Seems that about 24 hours after stopping Cipro, glucose is once again wild. Have to call my GP Monday.

I'm hoping that cold front out west skips it's trip east. Long johns or no, I hate the cold and snow! I know, why live here? A question I ask myself almost daily. Alabama beckons...

94 (5.2) this AM.

Last day and Closing of the Kairos event, it has been a really spirit filled three days.

Alabama sounds good Tamagno.

A stupid 5.8 for this morning.

@John - You do know that you'd be pining for snow and cold weather if you ever lived in a climate that had 365 days of relentless heat, right?
