A 5.3 this morning. I have just come back from my doctor's appointment and sat quietly as he proclaimed me a non-diabetic! Woohoo! Too bad I don't believe a word he says. My A1C was up to 5.7 and my cholesterol is high (351) and it was the latter that he focused on. To him, total cholesterol is the be all and end all of healthiness. My HDL is now in the normal range.

Then he states that the urine sample shows that I'm "starving"... that my body is feeding on the fat stores.... DUH! He then says "But that's good". Seriously, how did he think I got to that state? Magic?

*sigh*

Must be medical magic in the air, one of my co-workers got a 5.4 A1C and his doc said he was cured too and took him off all his meds. He's so happy..I'm just waiting for his next A1C

88 (4.9) for me this morning.

Had a 5.1 this morning. Sunny weather and +5 C.

CD, Quite an experience. Education needed for the "educated".

Now it is true that some folk who don't know any better think that getting normal blood sugars as evidenced by an HbA1c in the "normal" range think "cure" Sad, but true.

But to get that comment from a doctor really is sad! CD, do you have the choice of another doctor who might actually know what diabetes means?

109 (6.0) this morning. Storm system heading this way from Alaska and should be here Thursday night and Friday. Snow level is supposed to be 5000' so just above here. We will welcome the rain though.

6.7 (120), highest morning read in a long time... I blame the popcorn I had yesterday afternoon watching football. No more of that.
