187 this morning.

Thanks CD and WalkerWally. I ordered something from Amazon by Elgato that seems to have the best reviews. I'll find out shortly.

Barbara, there's a British TV show called Broadchurch featuring one of the younger Doctors Who that's good - okay, not Doctor Who good, but what is? It's on Netflix if you use it.

Forty-one degrees this morning with 40% humidity on December 28th. Amazing.

Not checking cause I left my blood sugar monitor at home. I'm "babysitting" my 94 year old grandmother.

So ran an experiment. Didn't use humalog for lunch and ate the same lunch (eggs and bacon). One hour after eating, blood sugar at 85, so no insulin for lunch. Will test 2 hours. The best thing about metformin ER is eventually i won't have to take the humalog, but I still hope I can take it.

For those who take metformin ER, do you take it all at once at the same time of the day. Taking 2 500 mg tablets and that will increase to 3 next week. So I hate swallowing lots of pills and even I hate swallowing large pills.
I take met ER 1,500 mg and I take both 750 mg tablets in the evening right before dinner. It seems to work best for me taking it that way.

Woke up to a 71 (3.9) this very cold morning. Not complaining, it's going to get a lot colder

92 (5.1) this morning. We might get a dusting of snow Tuesday and Wednesday but it looks like much of the country will get quite a bit of snow as the storm moves East during the week.

So frustrated with this fasting blood sugar. 167 this am. 112 last night when i went to bed. However, I was able to eliminate humalog for lunch and dinner and kept a steady BG of 85 throughout the day.

I haven't dailed back the Lantus yet because my fasting is still too high most mornings.

113, lowest in 12 days! I have had rising FBG over the last couple of months, more so this last week. Something is amiss and I'm working on it. Nothing I do seems to help and the levels just keep climbing. I started 500mg met several days ago but it doesn't seem to have made a difference yet.

Rice, white rice! I ate 6-8 pieces of sushi roll yesterday, wasabi, ginger and eel sauce and soy. Delicious! This was at a Chinese buffet. Most everything else was LC, but hell VLC and my FBG keeps climbing. My rational was, why not eat something I really enjoy, I'll test afterward and see how much it spikes me.

1.25 hr PP 149, 2.5 hr PP 117, and a 12 day low this AM.

6.8 yesterday and 7.9 today. ok, letting it slide at the moment. Stone fruit. I'll get better, and its still better than last years efforts when i was scoffing into christmas cake at 52g carbs per tiny slice.
