122 (6.8) this morning. After a month of relative greyness and overall upstate NY drabness, the sun is out full force this morning. Nice way to usher out the old year.

116 (6.4) this morning. only two days after cortisone injection. Actually did pretty well yesterday, I did have a high of 140 before lunch but was down to 91 before dinner and at 91 two hours after dinner. My liver is just not going to give up trying to help though.
It looks like the storm prediction for yesterday and last night was greatly exaggerated though, we got nothing, no snow or rain at all. It did get colder though, 15F (-9C) this morning with an expected high of 38F (3C) today.

A 5.4 today. Much better than the silly 6's that I have been plagued with the past few days. Tomorrow I send in my application for a full-time position at the English Dept of Stockholm University. However, I have decided to move from teaching to administration. The reason being is that I'd like to leave the Professor positions open to the younger generation that can take full advantage of it. Deadline is the 7th of January.

70 (3.88) this cold morning, 77 (4.26) at bedtime. Blood ketones in the evening 3.3 mmol/L.

10F right now, clear blue sky. Feeling a tad better, wish my appetite would return. No temp for the last 3 days, very little coughing, but no energy either.

Watching Dr Who on TV. Geesh, all the diet ads have started for the New Year. The most egregious one is Sharon Osbourne for Atkins.

Jimmy Moore did a blog about it.

5.7 (103)... admittedly, staying home sick yesterday I did eat a few things I don't normally eat... the supply of which will be gone by the weekend and *not* replenished.

Went back to work today, feeling much better. Plus they let many of us go home early, including me.
