No sugar reading this morning. Instead a Happy New Year! Lots of fireworks right now.

Hans, it's 4:28 pm here, 12:28 am in Sweden... which means where you are it's already Next Year. So, what's the future like?

187 this morning.

I somehow forgot to journey down to New York city for New Years among the young and hip. In fact, I forgot to stay up...

CD, you rascal! Likely a wise career move, but I expect you'll be missed down in the trenches.

I've celebrated 2015 early this morning by cleaning the glass in the wood stoves; a new tradition begins!

I celebrated by throwing another log or three on the woodstove!

94 (5.2) this morning. Happy New Year! I missed it last night. Tried to stay awake, fell asleep in the recliner, woke up with a stiff neck around 10:30 and staggered to bed. I used to be able to stay up...LOL

Shanny, how was the dinner? I would have showed up if I had something, anything on other than the uniform shirt we are required to wear at work.

It was a great meal, Vicky. I stayed with what I knew - the seafood delights platter. I got around everything except a coupla crab legs, and I brought those home with me. I love their house salad with the dilly beans & vinegary cabbage alongside the tossed greens. So that and all the seafood filled me up. I did fall off plan by ordering a margarita - just because they make the best ones in town & it was NYE. I had told my everlovin' that I'd be having one before we ever got there & I paid for it too - 143 this morning. Weak-willed old woman . . .

Talked to Sue (Owner Rita's daughter & our waiter) about the big lobster tails and she hadn't seen them yet at that time. But she came around later after she HAD seen them, and her eyes were like saucers! Some big honkin' tails! lol! I think the 'market value' on those puppies was about $75, and she'd served a couple of them by then.

Happy New Year everybody! 126 (7.) this morning. House full of guests, my youngest daughter had some friends stay over for New Year's Eve, right now the kitchen is filled with tired, sleep-deprived teenagers.

I did make out well, though, the same daughter made me a Stella recipe cheese cake that turned out great--had three slices of that last night. Negligible effect on BG, went to sleep at 119. My resolution for 2015 is to eat more cheesecake!
