96 / 5.3

Much better than I expected.

Life caring for semi-independent elderly parents is in high gear and, although I ate VLC, my BG did the stress-related polka most of yesterday. It looks like, after being childhood buds, high-school sweethearts, post-WWII newlyweds, and almost 68 years of marriage, dementia is going to pull mother out of assisted living into a pleasant and caring facility. They are going to live the rest of their lives in separate locations. At 88 and 90 and in declining health, death would have been kinder.

headlight, I am amazed at how frequently diet soda and unsweetened tea ordered somehow morphs into a complete sugar bomb! Do diastix, dipped into a drink, react if there is sugar therein? It would be nice to know before, rather than getting bad news afterwards.

156 this morning.

Barely 3 degrees here this morning and headed down to -5 shortly before it zooms up to 20. Thank God no snow in the forecast!

Hi everyone. I have been lurking around but not posting. BS still in the range of 90-95 (fasting) but have to work harder to keep them low.

Am in the 8th month of my pregnancy now and due in 2 months from now. I have been feeling that it will be sooner than that though! My 2 year old keeps me on my toes and is a question bank now.

I am anxious over any sibling rivalry that will take place. Right now he is very excited about the baby but he is so close to me that I wonder what I will do if he does not like the new one! Maybe my hormones are making me think too much and I am sure God has his way of making things work out.

Am just so tired and drained out already....

Tamagno- I am sorry about your dog. It had to put mine down at 15 years too and its been one of the most difficult decisions of my life.

A 99 (5.5) this morning. Was a 109 yesterday morning but didn't retest, figured frustration from replumbing kitchen sink drain, and having a good leak and no spare parts sounded like a good excuse for probable cause.

C O L D here this morning, was 14F when I got up, and 13 now. Hope today is good at work and without weather related incidents. I start my 7 day off at 5:30 PM.

CCD, glad to hear from you and you are doing so well.

headlight, I always order unsweet tea when eating out. I can tell with the first sip if they goobered up the order.

Hello CCD! I have been wondering how you are doing.

I am sorry you lost your dear dog. But I am happy the pregnancy is progressing normally.

Had a 5.3 this morning. Cloudy and never ending low pressure areas from the Atlantic. Just now +5 C (41 F).

110 this morning, arghhhh. More garden work ahead. Composts are full, so I guess I have to start a new one. It's been dry and unseasonably mild here. I wonder if winter will come back.

70 (3.9) this morning. It appears that we were robbed last night, someone took all our degrees, not that we had a lot to begin with, it's zero out there and with the wind chill, it's just plain brutal.
