5.8. Coming down from yesterdays highs of 6.5-7.5. Imagine my horror when last night, on going to have my night time insulin, I realised I had forgotten my metformin the day before, *and* my morning insulin yesterday. I am such an absentminded twit at times.

I bet if we combined them and then split them in half, we'd both be comfortable

5.4 (97) as the cold finally appears to be over with.

That's "cold" as in me coughing and sniffling... "cold" as in "baby it's cold outside" is still with us, -16°C (-25 with the wind chill) with no relief until next week.

123 (6.8) this morning. Have had a cold couple of days lying on my back in a cornfield scanning the skies for Canada geese. Even got some! plus a bonus unexpected snow goose. Had fresh wild goose liver pate yesterday for the first time--surprisingly good. Organ meats are supposed to be "the thing" for all kinds of nutrients for LCHF. I may have to experiment a bit with some recipes. Tomorrow is supposed to warm up to 20 deg F -- that will feel like summer compared with yesterday's temps and wind chill.

Yum! It's freezing in Alabama. I'm going to make some now. Our heat is broken BUT we have a fireplace that is keeping is nice and cozy. Only problem is the cold floors and toilet seat.....😂

156 this morning.

Goose is my favorite fowl but around here the groceries who sell them are asking $90 a bird - frozen!

129 (7.1) this morning. I didn't make the pate, one of the folks I hunt with did--basically he just fries up the liver in bacon fat, adds a lot of chopped red onion, some mayonnaise, and that's about it. It was really quite good and not at all gamey or liverish.

Birds changed their pattern yesterday so we didn't have quite as much luck. We'll see what today brings.

Wow, a 4.4 ( 79 ) this morning, and 4.7 ( 84 ) this evening after dinner. Not sure why but I'm happy about that. Due for next a1c beginning of February. Hopefully diet has kicked in and all is well. Never had those readings before except when I was on insulin and I was going low. No feelings of going low now though. Will be interested to see where my BG is tomorrow.
