102 (5.7) this morning. At least it's heading down.
Off in a bit for an appointment with my new primary. Six month follow up and going over new blood tests. I'm interested to see what changes, if any, since my last bloodwork.

106, second day in a row. Haven't been this low since mid November. My 14 day average has dropped to 109. Today is my 30th day on metformin and I can see a definite improvement.

Are you taking any medications? Insulin? Or just diet controlled.
If you are trying to do this via diet and you are certain nothing changed in what you eat of "same old breakfast," when will you consult with your doctor for blood tests again?
Hi. I am insulin dependent, and I use MDI. I see my doctor every 3 months and have bloodwork done before each appointment. I am a vegetarian (since 1970) and I follow a very strict exchange diet that has kept me in pretty good control for years. My same old breakfast is 1/2 slice whole wheat bread, 1 egg and 1 cup milk. I make my own bread, so I know it is the same. My A1C's are consistently in the non-diabetic range, and my blood tests show no other areas of concern. The main variable in my insulin use (I think) is the level of exercise. I generally work hard physically, and also hike and bike, but I test very often to stay ahead of lows. I no longer can tell when my BS is dropping. I am reading here that some people like me have found the pump has evened out their BS considerably, so I am thinking about that. My doctor has always said I don't need it because my control is good. She wants to see me with higher A1C's, but I don't agree, and in fact that is one reason I have returned to the Forum to see how other people in my shoes feel about it. I haven't heard anybody say they want higher A1C's.
So, this morning BS was 48, two hours after breakfast 70. Last night at bed time 85.

104 this morning. I'm puzzled why I was in the 90's for three weeks and suddenly I'm into the mid-100's. Woke up at 2:30 this morning to a weird sound. My wife bought a big bag of beef and it was pushing up against our water dispenser on our refrigerator and it was flooding our kitchen. It soaked through to my wife's closet and went down into our basement. Yikes!!! I blame this water mishap for my 104...

My doctor told me that my a1c was good even the range in the lab report was less than 5.9. So that is unacceptable. There no reason that we can't have NORMAL non diabetic blood sugars.

Thanks! I think so too! My aim is to be as healthy as possible, so "normal" numbers sound good to me.

You folks will be putting on sweaters.

It is 27 degrees F, here and won't go above freezing until Sunday.

75 (4.15) this foggy cold morning, 76 (4.2) at bedtime.

19F (-7.2C) right now supposed to be a high of 35 but I seriously doubt it will get that high.

Feeling better today. I did end up taking a pain pill at bedtime, I was just too achey and I wanted to sleep. I'm trying to go as long as possible today w/out one just to see just what is hurting and how much so I can tell the dr tomorrow.

94 yesterday, 102 today. I'd like it to be lower but, oh yeah, that would mean eating fewer carbs.
