98. I went to one of those Brazilian restaurants where they bring you awesome cuts of meats until you can't stand it anymore. I gained 2lbs,but my bg didn't go up. Thank goodness the sauces they used weren't full of carbs.

We've done one of those, on a cruise ship, a couple of times.

The first time, we thought it was really great, but the second time we decided we liked the French restaurant better.

72 (3.99) this dark windy morning, 76 (4.2) at bedtime.

My face is lovely shades of blue, green and yellow. Cheek bone still hurts but better. The big problem remains my lower back. It hurts sitting or standing. Trying to stay with Aleve today and no pain meds.

@Tamagno, sorry to hear of your situation. I still hold out hope they can find something that will bring you some relief.

It is really dark out and I expect it to rain soon so I had better get the garbage up to the road now before it rains.

No test today. 115 yesterday after both a lunch and dinner of a lovely soup of too many carbs of tomato made by a friend of mine.

Yesterday a meeting on the EPA problem and problem solving. Lots of energy from the 'kids' and a super afternoon in the '60's.

Afternoon visit with my oldest step-daughter. Tried to eat right although a boring meal (to her I'm sure).

219 this morning.

Yet another "big" meeting today at work; doubtless to announce substantial raises, less work and increased benefits...

Oh, BigNick, how I miss exercise! Possibly one of the major factors that's saved me through my silly trials was the many years I spent as an amateur bodybuilder. At diagnosis, I was a marvel of fitness!

Hans, WalkerWally, et al, thank you! Naturally, I'm inclined to favor operatic use of language:

Of the Italian soprano Renata Tebaldi when addressing her beautiful smile and infamous, um, "will," it was said that she had "dimples of iron."

My personal favorite was the "Great Dane," Lauritz Melchior, of whose fabulous size and constitution it was remarked that he was "hopelessly robust." He likely had little choice but to nickname his lovely wife "Kleinchen."

The children I teach refer to me as "Shaq-Attack," in deference to their perception of my "pointed" interventions. Also possibly on account of what must be my remarkable physical resemblance to a gentleman who I gather is a noted basketball player...

97 today morning.

It is fun seeing my toddler and my dog together. He loves having her around and I think enjoys the authority that he has someone to 'scold'. The moment he sees her roaming outside and hovering near the door, he will say "Peejoo, go inside, it is cold outside. wear slippers"

BS 68 this AM, 40 two hours after breakfast. Feeling fine this lovely morning, thinking of Dr. King and his love for mankind. I love the international flavor of this Forum; I love meeting Peejoo through her dog. Thank you!

93 (5.2) this morning. Weather warming up a bit, 36F (2.2C) this morning and could reach 70F (21.1C) today. No rain in the 10 day.
@ CCD, LOL, would love to see your dog wearing slippers.
