139 (7.7) this morning. No school record at last night's track meet--the coach switched things up and my daughter ran the 4x2 relay instead. Also ran the 50m and long jumped. A good time was had by all.

93 (5.2) this morning, which was a surprise because, although my carbs were low, I had way more protein than usual, about double. The prime rib and shrimp was too much to pass up
Looks like it will be a bit cooler here than predicted earlier, but still supposed to be 72F today with a bit of a breeze.

104, another bump in the road. I ate a big dinner last night and may have over did it a bit on carbs. Acorn squash and butter, mashed cauliflower with LC brown gravy, spinach, broccoli, meatloaf with very little filler. At any rate I think I got my micronutrients. I did test 1 hr pp 147, 2 hr 100.

6.6 this morning and I confess to not having been testing with any regularity for a couple of weeks. I finally got the irrits so badly with the most recent beta of OSX 10.10.2 that I dropped *all* the way back to OSX 10.9.5 which I have always liked much better than the latest (for me its like the difference between Windows 7 and Windows 8...). I can live with it. And not being in the beta program anymore. But, getting caught up with applications, photographs, and all my "stuff" has taken the best part of the last couple of weeks.

Definite carb overdose yesterday. I made damper. Well, it tried to be damper but in the end had the texture and taste of scones. I have never had a successful scone so I guess I know what to do now (not that baking is a frequent occurrence, I think thats twice since I moved in - 14 years ago).

71 (3.9) this cloudy morning, 72 (3.99) at bedtime.

Warming trend here, 49F but rain is expected tonight. It is nice to open the house up for a while and air it out.

Registered a 6.1 this morning but I hadn't the time to wash my hands beforehand so I'll take that number knowing that it was actually a bit lower.
Tomorrow I can finally relax with a much needed day off! Maybe I can even get a small walk in if its not too cold. I was going to pick up some Icebug™ winter shoes and then get back into running but they cost so much! I then read online that some people simply screw 3/8" screws from the bottom up into the soles of an old pair of sneakers and those work just as well. I 'll likely give it a go tomorrow and see how I fare.

Mt. Shasta was BEAUTIFUL this morning, and all day. Clear skies revealed the mountain rising above everything, clad entirely in white. Oh, I wish you could see. It is unseasonably warm, no snow on the ground below the mountain, and people walking about in shirt sleeves. We had a great walk with the dog, and a picnic before heading home.
