Oh, forgot about the 2 pounds of fish I fried (no breading) just crisped wonderfully after dropping in the lard. Hubby won't touch fish, more for me

Yes, my house now smells like a restaurant

I just love to cook though

98, lowest since the first of October! I'm trying very hard and it's encouraging to see results.

I'll be visiting my new cardiologist in a couple of days as he want to order an A1c to see if the met is doing it's job. I think it's terrific of him to be non critical of my WOE and my self management of my health. Even better is his interest and willingness to assist me in my BG control. I don't have a primary or GP.

He is a heart surgeon in a very busy hospital, young and aggressive but very interested in helping people and going above and beyond. That's why I wanted him for my doc.

He was on duty when my dad at 93 yo was having cataract surgery and suffered a heart attack. Dad was wheeled into emergency and then to the cath lab where a stent was placed to save his life. A year later I took dad in for a 3rd or 4th follow up visit and he showed his cardiologist a golf ball sized cyst on his knee. The doc said maybe he shouldn't but he'd drain it for my dad to make him more comfortable.

8,2 this morning. I believe I can thank the asthma-drugs I had to take several times last night due to an asthma attack for the high FBG.
We are going to leave at 2 o`clock this night to visit our grandson and his parents tomorrow.
I can sleep in the car, but my houseband cant so he is sleeping now.

103 (5.7) this morning. late to post today. I tried before I left for home but the Hotel Wireless is the worst connection imaginable, so I gave up. I had better when I was on dial up years ago. On top of that they charge $ 10.00 a day for this. I understand they want you out in the Casinos and not in your room playing on the internet, but if you charge it ought to be at least somewhat decent. : end of rant :

Home now from my weekend and considering how much I ate I am quite pleased that my bg was as good as it was. My what a pig I am. but I had a great time.

It started to rain about half way home and is raining now I thought I would beat it but it's welcome any time.

Rough days for people in the North East, hope every one stays safe.

Don't feel all alone, I had a 121 (6.7) FBG, no idea where it came from. Woke up with a bad headache, had my two cups of coffee ~1000 calories. Didn't eat anything at all for breakfast. Checked my BG again about noon and, yikes, a 160. Went for a bike ride, and when through, my BG had come down to 118. Not a clue what caused it all, but had gained weight all weekend so I know glycogen was being stockpiled. Had been eating larger portions of meat than I normally do. So maybe I do have a clue.

93 today morning. And I am still pregnant. Doctor says anytime after 24th Feb although the due date is 6 March. That's less than a month and it still has not sunk in that its so close.

My neighbor just delivered a baby girl and she is so tiny and super cute. Its her first baby and she was so freaked out about the delivery pains. For the entire 9 months of her pregnancy, whenever she worried about labor, I told her the doctors will take care and guide u through that- Its the post delivery recovery, managing the baby and sleepless night + a lot of hyper people/relatives who make you feel that you are doing it all wrong which take a toll. Her baby is 5 days old now and she met me yday and said "I feel so cheated. You did not warn me enough over how it is in the initial weeks".
