John? Would it be possible to go on a regular suppression dose of antibiotic for the UTIs? That method worked for me.

6.2 / 112 this morning. Gotta get back under 100 soon I hope. Still hot and wet here. Indoor work for me I guess. Lots to do packing up house. But need to get outdoors into the landscaping again.

Roxane, I feel for you, have troubles with grown up kids as well. Good luck and hope it all turns better for you and yours

Haven't tested in eons and not sure what it will say. We are at the tail end of a massive snowstorm so trying to stay warm. All schools closed and most roadways not passable yet. Eesh. Going to have to pull the meter back out. Hope everyone has been well.

119, ouch! I don't know where that came from, unless 8 raw almonds is now considered a cheat. I've trended upward the last 4 days or so as if I had eaten something that I'm unfamiliar with or way out of range. I thought about this and went over everything the first day and before when I noticed it.

I may have been eating slightly in a calorie deficit mode if anything the last 2 days and getting plenty of exercise. No TV for me yesterday.

110 (6.1) this morning. I am like Big Nick, not sure what is causing higher numbers but something is going on. Still feel totally exhausted and suspect it may have to do with my heart valve problem. Going for another echocardiogram tomorrow and to the Cardiologist next Wednesday. He keeps saying that a replacement will need to be done soon, but not how soon. I admit to having trepidations about having it done, after all it is your heart, but the success rate is very good and I'm getting to the point I would just like to have it over with. If it makes me feel better I really would like to have it over with.

118 (6.5) this morning. Got about 6 inches of the snow overnight, so spent a quick half hour this morning shoveling enough snow to get out of the driveway. Kids have a snow day from school, and my wife decided to work at home today. I forged ahead and made it to campus and taught my 10:00 class. Surprisingly, most of the students made it to class as well.

Other than that, the snow is supposed to peter out by the end of the afternoon. Problem will be the wind kicking up--supposedly 35-40 mph gusts. Oh well. The drifts should be fun.

Time to go get some lunch.

83 for me today.

Great news…we have an annual auction for St. Jude's Hospital in Memphis and this year this tiny town of 13,000 raised one million, three hundred thousand and some change in a 3 1/2 day period! We ran it while raising awareness about the chemical problem with the EPA.

Whoopee!
