Woke up at 11:00PM with BS 33, over treated a bit to get FBS this AM of 99.
3 hours after breakfast fell to 36, then stayed over 100 all day. I'm off on a long walk to get back on track...very busy day of teaching and errands. Time to relax with a hard walk.
Speaking of worrying about our kids, yes, I do, too. My 30 year old has had serious depression for years that has kept him from accomplishing his dreams. He keeps trying, I keep hoping...and we keep talking.

89 today morning. I feel so huge. I am basically so fond of sleeping that being sleep deprived is my biggest problem in the initial post delivery months. Yesterday night at 2 AM, I had a weird pain in the back and my only thought was "God, not now please! I am very sleepy. Let the baby wait till morning" I wonder how I am going to cope

Kathryn MC- I can imagine how hard it must be for you to see your kid through depression. I went through a phase and my mom still tells me that it was a worse phase than when she lost my father (her husband). I can never forgive myself for putting her through that. A book that really helped me gain perspective was "The road less travelled" by M D Scott. I am not too much into psychology and self help books but this is a book I would recommend anyone who finds himself or herself going through a tough phase.

Happy birthday David Burke!

86 / 4.7 this morning

Paulomi, I will look into that book. Thank you.

(And, my fingers are crossed that in the near future you will be able to get enough rest.......but I suspect the definition of 'enough' may need a bit of adjustment.)

174 this morning.

Thanks, Shanny. I'm hopeful for something like that and will ask. I've been on antibiotics off and on for a couple of years anyway.

The snow quit around 5:00pm yesterday leaving us with a foot of it. Today it's bitter cold at just over 1degree Fahrenheit.

Paulomi, thank you. I will read it...I have wondered if there were some things I could do or say that might be more helpful for him, but haven't pursued the idea of actually locating a book.
I am continually impressed by how caring people here are of each other without "knowing" who they are. I feel very warm towards all of you. Odd.
Morning FBS 38, two hours after breakfast and a quick 8 mile bike ride 68. More classroom work today, teaching beetles. Did you know there are about 300,000 different kinds of these guys? The first graders yesterday made marvelous drawings of them; we'll see what 4th graders can do.
Stay well.
