So his doctor thinks if you get back to your high school wieght you can beat it.Sorry ,Doc but that doesn't work either.

Default Tim Hanks' doc bad diabetes advice

Tim Hanks apparently has developed Type II diabetes. His doc told him "Just lose enough weight & you won't have diabetes any more".

Type II since ~2008. Ignored reality until 2012.

6/28/2012: 500 mg metformin. labs: FBG = 212, A1c = 9.2. weight: 174
7/7/2012: started 2000 mg metformin XR & LC/HF diet
9/28/2012 labs: FBG = 144, A1c=7.5. weight = 160; 12/1/2012 MN 1-mo FBG 103, 2-hr post = 128 // weight = 152 lb
12/30/2012 FBG 1-mo MN =97; 2 hr post MN=121;
1/2/2013: A1c = 6.5 11/2013 A1C=6.6 weight = 147 lb
4/2014 A1C=6.5 weight = 150 lb. 12/2014 A1C=6.5 weight = 147 lb.

WTF is THIS?

Did I miss something this big after three solid years of reading about diabetes?

Do humans "metabolize" insulin? (or glucose)

Are they lying on purpose?

Isn't the truth "when the body does not properly metabolize GLUCOSE"?

Oh, but if they said that, the next logical step would be to reduce glucose from diet - and the ADA would be SOL.
