This gets weirder by the minute. I had a small apple almost an hour ago. I started my morning with 5.8 (105) 7.30am and now at 11am, after the apple, Im at 4.6 (83).

I dreamt of eating a big yellow golden delicious apple and a plump grape! Does that count?

I was with thosebackpages until recently. However, the lure of the apple tree located at the turnaround point of my daily walk got the better of me. The apples are very small but very nice tasting and since I still managed to have a 5.2 after my walk although that isn't exactly the best way to test the effects of the apple itself.

I now avoid that turnaround point, opting to use an alternative until the apples have rotted away or get covered in snow.

Lead us not into temptation, evil apple!

So very true. My husband bought the apples and I put them in a bowl on the table (very attractive centerpiece) - and I kept looking at them and wanting them. Perhaps they should go in a drawer in the refrigerator!

yep bananas are a great lose -- I can get away with a very small gala apple and try to eat a few a week -- but mostly I steal one piece of my daughters as she eats them daily...

I bought 2 apples last time I went to the grocery store. I was craving them so bad! They are still in my fridge taunting me. I will try 1/2 of one this weekend.

Default I ate 1/2 an apple!!

So I finally got around to trying some apple. I bought 1 Pink Lady apple about 4 oz total. This afternoon I ate 1/2 (2 oz) with 1 ounce of smoked cheddar cheese. Not a true test, but I was hoping the cheese would keep a spike a little lower if I was going to spike. Here's the test:

Before: 77
.5 hr after: 71
1 hr after: 77
1.5 hr after: 79
2 hr after: 83
2.5 hr after: 78

Yippee! Looks like a little apple now and then is going to be fine!!!

And yessss it was soooo good!! First apple in 1.5 years

Living in apple country of New york I have really missed them. Especially the big washington red apples. Occasionally I try a very small granny smith, which I dislike and that stops me from pursuing them any further. Right now, sitting on the kitchen table is a home made apple pie and huge sheet of chocolate brownies. She's killing me My wife loves to bake and I let her do it all. Not even a bit tempted. Just grab the glucometer and it knocks my head right back into alignment.
