Default Exercise not working like normal

I was on a nice roll of eating well (LCHF) and exercising about 3 times per week. I lost 10 more pounds and my BS was excellent. All of a sudden, the weight loss and good BS stopped. I tried adjusting my fat ratio and put on a couple pounds. I'm thinking I need to do different exercise. I walk and run for about 45 min 3 days a week. Any ideas for kicking my weight loss and BS numbers back on track?

Have you given resistance training any thought? While it isn't a calorie burner like intense cardio, it can have an impact on your BG, and extra muscle helps burn more fat.

I haven't considered that, but maybe I should. Although I'm more focused on weight loss, as the good BG usually goes along with it.

Have you been doing the same basic workout and effort level for a long time? If so then you might need to kick it up a notch or starting eating less.

Weightlifting can help with weight loss although you should be careful with watching the scale too much. Gaining weight when you are lifting is usually a good thing. You are better off just looking in the mirror or doing stuff like measuring your waist for checking progress.

hi, im a lchf convert an like you its all about the weight loss for me,i exercise heaps on my road an mountain bike, an i mean heaps,i have had the same thing happen an i asked a similar question, the answer to it i belive is that weight loss does slow down an your body adjusts to the amount of exercise you do, for me i have to up my exercise an go harder, all that said we must in the end reach a point where our weight is just right, may be your nearing that point, keep it up an your get there,

Good idea to watch glucose while you exercise. The weight gain may also be due to excess insulin - you may need to cut back with LCHF and increased exercise.
