Hi, all, I am getting over this horrid cruddy cough, just very slowly. My blood glucose is still 10 DAYS later, running high from it, despite doubling my basal ... I am very frustrated, but I am also very apathetic from looking at crappy numbers.

So ... sorry I am not posting more enthusiastically. Trying to get worked up over anything -- anything at all -- just feels like it takes too much energy. I went back to work Wednesday, but am the same way, there.

I hope you all do not get it. I keep looking at news to see what the heck it is, cough, fever, mostly not nasal ... CDC is not saying word one. My youngest threw up from coughing, could be pertussis ... or maybe mycoplasma? But nobody's talkin'.

It's miserable, isn't it? I threw up a couple of times from coughing so hard, but never tested positive for any kind of infection.

All my doc said was (after checking me out), "it's just a cold. We've had a lot of these cases where it just lingers on and on." And that was it.

I feel for all of you dealing with sickness right now. I've been lucky and not been sick at all since my heart attack almost 3 years ago. Even when my wife had (for the second time) Norovirus, which is highly contagious, I didn't get it either time. I wouldn't wish that virus upon my worst enemy!

Get better soon, Linda!

Yep, I've got it, too. Fourth one in my office to get it, probably the bazillionth in the whole company. Only one "healthy" person left and she started coughing yesterday. I've had it a little more than a week, and I'm hearing it hangs on for at least 3 weeks if not more. The worst is when in meetings or trainings and you just can't stop coughing.
Luckily for me, I'm not noticing a jump in bs because of it.
Hope everyone feels better soon!

So sorry you guys are feeling so bad. That sounds like a nasty bug, I sure don't want it. Hope you get better quickly. I am keeping away from people as much as possible so as to avoid getting anything. I had enough drs/treatments/surgery & meds this year!

You all are in my thoughts & wishes for quick recovery. Retirement has been a real boon for us since we are no longer exposed much at all, but I so remember those days when the cough lingered for weeks and my ribs would hurt with every breath, just because of the violent coughing.

This one is just NASTAY! I NEVER get really sick (though I can whine a bit).

Well I am getting caught up on my reading, at least, I suppose ...

Hoping you all dodge this one -- it wreaked havoc on my blood glucose!
