Thumbs up Fun Hobbies

I was just wondering what everybody's special or interesting hobby is here, or even if it's not a hobby just something you're good at doing.

I make soap. I started about a year ago and it's really fun and I get to be really creative. My first couple of batches weren't the best but I've gotten better. My last batch I made using dried rose petals and olive oil. it's a really nice facial soap in my opinion.

Anyways what does everyone else do? I'm sure with a good sized forum like this that everyone has a special something they do for fun.

I buy Palestinian olive oil soap, but would LOVE yours!!! Rose mmmmmmm ...

My hobbies include ethnic and archeological genetics, and knitting -- the most complex color- and stitch patterns I can find, often small items likes socks and mittens.

And, of course, cooking low carb with complex flavoring, with spices and herbs ...

I make jewelry, wire wrap stones and christmas wreaths. I also am now into making my own aromatherapy oils. I also repurpose small furniture items and have a booth at a antique market on the weekends. I also like to decorate, work out and do yoga and meditation.

I would so like to get into making jewelry, but I have so many UFO
projects as it is, I don't dare venture into anything new.

I'm an avid reader - probably couldn't call it a hobby as it's as important as breathing to me!!

I like crosswords and buy a couple of crossword books each month - don't like doing them on the net.

I enjoy knitting immensely and always have something on the go. I made 3 large afghans during winter as well as 20 pairs of soft pull-on slippers that I donate annually to the local hospice. I usually make myself a 'greasy wool' sweater each year, essential for walking on the beach when the wind is blowing directly from the Antarctic!

One of my goals for next year is to learn to crochet. There is a local craft group so that's probably a good resource for me.

I write in my journal most days- have done this most of my life. Maybe one day someone will publish my memoirs!!

Love playing soccer and golf and hanging with my family. I think next summer I am going to try to take my kids hiking in some local parks/trails. Never really hiked before.

I'm a big reader, and a techie.

I also write. I was working on a novel for nanowrimo, but I didn't hit my 50,000 words. I'm going to finish it anyway, and next year I have a sequel to the one I wrote this year planned.
