Default Tattoos

Since I have started Insulin, my Dr wants me to wear a Medic Alert bracelet or Dog Tag- I have already broke 1 braclet and the dog tag is not working real well either. I have read where some people are getting tattoos on the wrist- Any one have any expereince with this? My Dr told me I could do it once we get the AC1 down to under 6

I have heard of it, but have not done it. I do wear a bracelet all the time. If I could find a tattoo that I really liked for that reason I might would do it. But then again...I love tattoos. I have 5 of them

I have one tattoo, a small heart on my right ankle. I am not sure that I would want a tattoo on my wrist that says diabetes. Would a medical professional think to look or pay attention to it? I always wear a necklace or bracelet that has all of my diabetes medications on it. There are some little attachments that you can buy that slip on your watch band. It is called Mediband and their phone number is (877) 432-2637. I plan to order some these.

I got my bracelet at MedicAlert.org It has a stretchable gold band, so I have snagged it a few times, but never broken it. They have a really nice collection of medical ID jewelry, including watches and necklaces.

My arm is so large that I have a real hard time finding something big enough to fit with out taking it to a jeweler to have it resized. I just ordered the MediBand that was mentioned above that I will try

Thanks for the info
