Default PROBLEMS with Animas one toch ping!!!!!

I am starting this post as a warning to all whom are looking for a new pump or starting pump management.
I have been type 1 diabetic since May 2009, started on the Animas pump in Aug 2009, average bloodsugar was 140

First off within a month with a tiny bit of cold weather the pump would just un-prime itself constantly all dayyyyy long.

Second issue with the pump with more than a couple basil levels programmed, the pump freezes and performs very very slowly.

I have also had several upon several leaking insets, making my bloodsugar shoot up to 400+ after a meal, old A1C was 6 my new A1C with leaky instets was 8.

Animas pretty much did NOTHING they sent me 4 new insets which had the same leaking problems, they did not try to fix the issue, they did not care at all, there stupid support team in CO and NM never got back in contacted with me.

I also toss and turn all night cant sleep with the tube because it gets stuck under me and pulls at the site.

I have been through 3 animas pumps within a year, because of there problems.
Please Please do not buy an Animas Pump you will not be happy.
They also bill you for the clips, the battery covers, and the vial covers, they bill you for there cheap parts breaking.

I just did the cut the cord program with omni pod, starting tomorrow

any questions you can contact me miketoci(at)live

You will have to let us know how you like the omnipod. I have a friend that is switching to that one. I have heard it comes loose easier than other ones. I am curious to hear how she likes it.

Default The omni pod thus far

[QUOTE=onaughmae;16682]You will have to let us know how you like the omnipod. I have a friend that is switching to that one. I have heard it comes loose easier than other ones. I am curious to hear

Thus far the pod is great what a big difference in my levels I have had to reduce my basil amazing what happens when a pump works right it does hang a little but little tape would work good.

Also FYI I was on between 45 & 60 units a day on animas, now I'm on about 36 units a day and still runnin a tad low.
so the animas was leaking much more then I could just see!!!!
