My reason for LCHF was to get control over my health, so weight loss was a bonus. By April 2013 I had gone from size 24 to size 10 (edit because I am currently size 8, but up 5 pounds from the size 10 picture). While my weight loss was 80 pounds, my body composition changed drastically. Sometimes pictures speak louder than words, so here goes:

Might be a good idea to read at the diet doctor... it makes sense of the morass of info out there. I have to keep going back to remind me of whats in and whats out.

Thanks! I am the kind of person who was always discouraged when it came to weight loss, so having my diabetes to focus on kept me going.

Sometimes I read about people "curing" or "reversing" their diabetes with LCHF, but the opposite is true for me. The things that spiked me at 237 pounds still spike me at 160 (seemingly harmless things like a banana, or "low carb products").
