I haven't done much for exercise lately. Maybe that's part of the reason why my FBS seems to have tanked.

I haven't had much time, and the weather's been real topsy-turvy here. This is always a busy month. We have my son's birthday and then our wedding anniversary the next day. Since we're back in the school year, I am pretty firm with bedtimes. It makes it too hard at night, to try and squeeze everything in, plus a walk. Oh well ... whatcha gonna do. It is what it is.

Walked my dog for about an hour. Enjoyed walking along the bay near my house.

Ok, here is a pic of the new bike that is going to be my daily commuting bike. I still need to get a pannier/bag or optimally, a handlebar bag since i will already be sporting a lightweight Osprey backpack. I've got a set of Cranskbrothers Mallet IIs coming as well as a Brooks B17 saddle and some Shimano SPD shoes.

Yup! Carbon fork and seat post, Alex XD Lite rims front and back as well as Schwalbe Marathon Racer 700c x 35s on it at present but I may go down to 30s after winter. Also a side-loading water cage and Blackburn pump.

So sweet I may have to bolus, and I'm not on insulin. I know you are going to really enjoy the commute.

Rode 'old' bike 35 miles this morning. Rode 7 1/2 miles last night. Had old grip twist shifters replaced with thumb shifters. You'd think they would not be needing readjusting the second day, but riding in 5th gear on back sprocket and showing 4th on the shifter after finally settling in after several switches between gears when starting a short climb. That is so aggravating.

Rode old bike 13.7 miles yesterday and took it back to the bike shop to readjust the new shifters. Rained yesterday evening so didn't get to try it out on the road.

Rode 22.6 miles this morning. Old bike did good, almost new bike like. Seeing bike I want at the shop made 'new bike like' feeling not so whiz bang for long.
