Worked on tearing down part of a cattle working lot and replacing boards and posts in some stalls at the barn. Showed to get about 6500 steps, but a lot of steps went uncounted. Takes 7 or more continuous steps to get my pedometer going, less than that gets you a goose egg, and I had a lot of 3-4 steps, do something, 3-4 steps, do something.

Gonna be more of the same today and will try to get a bike ride in too when it warms up.

Hike in the woods with Lyn. The ground was more muddy looking but I brightened the picture due to cloud cover.

All your going to see of my dog is a backend shot as he is going down the trail. I say "Come here", he hears "Run faster".

Lyn's still a pup and gets distracted easily, so sometimes we do get ahead of her. Give her three months and, yes, I suspect we'll have much the same issue unless our training of her is more effective than I expect .

She's definitely intelligent but I think the issue will be much as you enjoy - selective deafness!

@ Majoie: Lyn (Lynnette de Haie du Ipson) is an old breed, Berger de Beauce aka Beauceron. Many of our modern herding/guard breeds were bred from that stock, German Shepherd, Rottweiler, and the horrible Dobermans. She will grow to be about 36Kg, and look like a small pony.

Our old dog Alys was a crossbreed Labrador/Beauceron.

@MBuster: Luckily she is still young and not much of a runner...yet. Her father has agility medals...so fun ahead.

Judy, she is a beautiful girl!

Yesterday was more of the same, bike in the morning and weight machines after work. I am planning on tackling the climber again next week, that really does give you a good workout.

I'm working on my list of things to do this morning. Sorting and packing all of my dad's stuff, making piles to send to my sisters and my mom, trying so hard not to get too sad, then I can start cleaning the disorganization from me and hubby!!! And I still need to hit the grocery store.

Yesterday I rode the bike for hour and 15 minutes on the climber (did I mention that thing was HARD) LOL I left work 1/2 hour early so I got in 2 full hours on the weight machines.
