[QUOTE=mbuster;1104746]What, no squats?

no, i walk 6 hours or more at work everyday and run the bike 5 mi. about everyday. i had to rehab my legs from arthritis and strained ligaments almost 2 years to be able to walk like normal. about 9 years ago i was doing 15 mile a day on the stationary for my position on the correctional emergency response team (cert) the overuse injuries to my legs plus overenthusiastic practices engaging pressure points messed my legs and knees up, then came the arthritis. i'll get plenty of squat time lifting rounds splitting wood for next winter. its about time to get that project started. the progressive resistance on bike helps as well. i just bought three goats for my beloved's 33rd anniversary present so now i have to build shelter and fencing as well. my knees are just a bit sore. i think i'll hold fast to this progression. she loves me, i guess that's all that really matters to this eight ear old.

Worked two hours in the garden. Then walked three miles. Happy for gardening weather. Onions, lettuce and radishes on the way.

Finding (clawing) my way back from the darkness...

Mt strength is finally returning. I may never know if it was because I added enough fat back into my diet or if it was because I added a daily sublingual dose of vitamin B-12 (maybe a combination of the two?) but it feels like a heavy weight has been lifted. Life is good...

Spent most of the day, once I finally got out and about, replacing one of the light fixtures in the carport. Pulled down an 8 foot 2 bulb fluorescent and put back a 1 foot by 4 foot, flat LED. New bracing had to be added in the attic to support the new light.

Had only around 3000 steps in by after supper, so me and puppy made it 10,000 with a walk around the field and pond a couple of times. Finished the day with 15,196 steps, getting the rest on the back porch, aided by the new light in the carport.

Planted some pepper plants in buckets, took tiller to the shop, got gas for the lawn mower, washed the car. Put in 15,253 steps. Now its time to watch a little basketball. National Championship game just started, I'm done for the night.

I'm guessing it will take me a while to get back to my previous numbers. For now, I am just promising myself that I will take some sort of walk every day, even if it is just around the block. Tonight I took a 3.9 mile walk.

So glad you're recovering Cricket! Maybe it was a combination, and I imagine your body was probably using fat for energy. Somehow the body knows, it just takes us awhile to figure it out

Sat: grocery/pharmacy shopping. took me almost 4-1/2 hours (lost 2 pounds and spent $1,348) Then lugging it all in & putting it all away. I think I'm good on shopping for the next few months

Sun: 10 hours cleaning house, 2 more hours moving our winter wood pile from the back of the house to the wood shed, showered then whined all the way to the bed

Mon: 3 miles walked before work (still recovering from the weekend) walked 2 more miles at lunch, after work was 2-1/2 hours on the weights and 6 miles on the bike.

16,268 steps yesterday. Roughly 10,000 of those on a treadmill in a couple of sessions. The after supper session was @ 2.5 mph pace but I kept raising the elevation every minute or two until it maxed out at 15. Kept it there for 5 minutes then backed down to 0 over a 5 minute period and then spent 10 minutes on stationary bike to ease the kinks out of the legs from the treadmill. Was reminded the world rotates when moving from the treadmill to the bike.
