15,199 steps and 22 floors.

Storm came thru this evening and lightning took out the Internet and satellite tv. What else could I do but walk?

New DSL modem fixed the internet, let's see what it takes to get Dish going again...

Had too much desk time at work yesterday and only at a little more than half my step goal, so had to do more walking at home. Was a about a quarter mile from the house with a little over 10,000 steps on the Garmin when it went dead. Ate supper and played around trying to stream a movie on YouTube from my phone to the TV while it recharged. Got the rest of my steps in after that. Ended the day at 15,141 counted steps and 25 floors.

It's been quite a while since I've posted here, mainly just because I haven't been walking near as much as I would like to. I waited too long before I finally got the cortisone injections in my knees and I just could not manage to walk like I was before. I got the injections last month and it usually takes a couple of weeks for me to see an improvement and then I found out how weak my muscles had become so I had to work on it to get back to where I was. Last week I was finally able to reach my 10K step daily goal and yesterday was my best day so far, 14,433 steps, 5.7 miles for my short legs. I feel good this morning so I hope to keep it up.

20,562 steps yesterday.

Electronics at the antenna and in the receiver were toast on the Dish system. I'm surprised we didn't lose more things.

Even though it was windy as all get out yesterday I still got a fair amount of walking in. 12,053 steps and most oft indoors, but then Casinos are pretty big inside. Still feeling good and pleased that my legs seem to be holding up. Hoping for a calmer day today.

Glad to see you getting your legs back Wally.

I bad wanted to take a bike ride this weekend but also feel I got to get my steps in too, so I opted to walk.

Yesterday afternoon and this morning, helped with reinstalling the front rear end of son-in-laws Peterbilt log truck. After getting the gears and axels back in, they didn't really need me anymore, so I figured I walk around the block. Living in the country I have only 2 blocks, one is about 6 miles and the other is about 25 miles. I opted for the shorter block. At 5 miles I'm a mile from home and can come down an old road to the highway near the house or I can keep going on the main road thru town and come out another mile and a half up the highway. I took the longer option and made it a 7.75 mile walk in 2 hours and 20 minutes. Ending today with 22,593 steps. With over 200 feet of elevation gain on the walk from the bottoms to town, I got zero floors credited. Garmin, you can explain that to my legs.
