No exercise today I can't wait for this weekend when I plan to make up for lost days. Spent the morning with third graders, and the afternoon is for my friend who is house bound with post polio. It's HoT here, really I need to work in the morning before it heats up.

Another day of outage but yesterday with a power outage for major electrical work. Too hot to hang around offices. Still got in 15,561 steps and climbed 54 floors. Walking to the top of the boiler yesterday, with the power outage and no elevator, it truly was 'lonely at the top'

well, sorry i haven't been diligently posting of late. i had 9 days of vacation and did well on my numbers until i shot myself with a nailgun. still can't lift weights. my stationary bike rides were nothing but labor, very difficult then this morning i discovered that i had lost about 5 lbs. i guess i tried to overcompensate on bg levels by not eating enough. i ate more today and my bg has stayed in the 97 range. going to crawl on the bike and see if i have more energy than of late. i've been getting off and the post exercise range has been 72-74. also bought a new meter a bayer contour next usb supposed to be pretty accurate and has some tracking functionality software. just waiting for strips so i can use it. online the strips are just a bit more than relion and yet half what i can get onetouch verio for. the big plus is a year or more on strip expiration. got my original strip order lost in the mail just about out of my verio strips very frustrated. oh, well, the sun'll come up tomorrow.

Did some high intensity interval training again with positive results on the BG. Hopefully resuming this will drive that FBG down a bit further.

I have been using the Contour Next USB for over a year now. I first bought the Contour meter before I knew the Contour Next had come out so I bought the Contour Next because it was supposed to have some major improvements and then Bayer sent me a new Contour Next to replace the Contour that I had bought. Somehow I ended up with three of them. I have tested them all with each other and they are within 1 mg/dl of each other every time. I am quite impressed with the accuracy. It is very consistent and I really like the ability to download your history and print it out. It is very handy to show my results to my doctor. I think you will like it. The cost of strips and the record keeping is the reason I bought it and the consistency is a plus.

got up to a 96 after eating to contentment yesterday. the piece of chocolate after meals and extra eats paid off in much better bike ride. been struggling keeping 5 mile at 25 minutes, but scored a relatively comfortable 22:30 last night.
man, fluctuating bg numbers freaked this child out. no gas in the tank is a painful, difficult struggle. i'm going to go eat something!
