I am sometimes too "harsh". I feel that sometimes one must be "harsh" to get the point across.

I'm type 1, as you know, so obviously it is a little different. One of the first things I did when I was dx'ed was ordered a bracelet. Wouldn't want to be in my car and have the police arrest me for drunk driving when I'm really hypo.
There are a plethora of other reasons too. The cost/benefit analysis was simply too convincing for me.

I never leave home without mine. My luck I would have an accident or something and some well meaning EMS person would pump me up full of IV fluids without noticing that I am wearing an insulin pump!

Road ID makes some really nice ones. They have an interactive one too with an 800 # on it when they call it it will tell them all the information that you want them to know. I think there web is Road ID® USA's #1 Source for Runners ID, Cycling ID & Medical ID Tags but cant swear to it.

Default I also was looking into them

I found this site that I will be ordering a Dog tag and sport bands from. I do not know if hospitals would even look at it but they store your medical history for free on the Server

American Medical ID - Medical ID Alert, Custom Engraved Medical Bracelets and Necklaces. Identify Yourself!

I am going with the Dog tag because I wore them for yers and did not mind them and the Sport bands so I can exercise with out anything Dangling
