I can't agree that alcohol is bad . . . it can lower your BG and possibly offset a few extra carbs in a meal. The key is moderation, of course.

I often drink a glass of sherry at bedtime, and I have a margarita recipe that doesn't require special mix - just use Fresca for your mixer. I may not be the world's best connoisseur, but I like a good margarita, and this one does the trick for me.

What is that Margaritta Recipe? I have not had a drink in months because of the Narcotics I was consuming, but I think I may break down and have a drink on Thanksgiving! Side note... No Pain meds today and although I am in pain... It feels good

Now yer gonna make me confess that I just eyeball it! Just use Fresca for the mix, tequila to taste, and a little triple sec, if you like. Crushed ice, and pour it in a salt-crusted glass.

All right . . . I'm guessing a shot of tequila, about half that amount of triple sec, then fill the glass with crushed ice & Fresca.

I can vouch for the Zilch and I have also used Baja Bob. I had friends doing Atkins so I used them for a Party instead of the real Stuff and no one noticed.

Isn't that just the neatest thing when they don't even notice?! heheh! People eat low-carb here all the time & they don't have a clue!

I love it!!! Especially when they ask for the recipes!!! I am always looking for low carb alternatives that will keep my wife happy. I feel sorry that she has given up soo much because of my diagnosis so I need to make it up to her some how!!!
