Wow, what a day Mary! So glad you and your mom had this heart to heart talk. Your roles reverse as do your mom's and grandma's. You are right, lots of changes! Best of luck to all of you!

We will certainly miss seeing you around, but understand your time will be precious going forward.

Good to hear you had a good talk with your Mom. I will be cheering you on with this new step in your career! I am sure your Mom is relieved and happy that you will take over the reins for her. Keeping her involved will also be good for her as work is the only sense of normalcy she has during this chaotic time.

Don't be too much of a stranger. Remember even top executives need support!

All the very best Mary

Judy

Oh, Mary, I got a little teary when I read you won't be around as much- but I know you will check in. We are a family here. People may go away, but folks find their way back. Im just going to say that it will be a joy when you pop in! I'll miss seeing your responses daily, but I'm sure you'll find a way to be on when you can! Be happy. I know you will do great. My best to your mom!

I just got i'net access and checked here first.

I am so glad Nora has been able to begin physical therapy!

Do I remember that, a few months ago you and your Mom discussed the time was coming for her to back down and you take over the business? I am so very sorry that a crisis brought the transition on so fast.....but I am glad you are able to support your Mom emotionally on this terrible roller coaster.

Big hug to a truly great daughter and grand-daughter!

Thanks everyone. The first part of my week has been insane. I am now home today for a few hours before going in with my coughing boy! He's not contagious but has a cough. His class is going to the zoo today and it's very wet, rainy, and damp weather is expected for the rest of the day. Figure it wouldn't do much good for the cough.

My mom flies out again today (on her birthday!) after being home for a few days. There are temporary plans in place to try and fly grandma home on May 29th. The doctors keep saying that she is improving each day. As long as this continues, she will be strong enough for the four hour plane flight. She will immediately be transferred to a nursing home - rehab center here, for the duration of her rehabilitation.

Thank you so much for all of your kind words. So many changes, life moves so fast sometimes.
