well I suppose. Not in any order. But 80 pounds in ten months. I won't get the other 20 I wanted by the one year mark as my loss is really slowed down.

You guys are all great motivators for newbies. I took off 50 pounds before I was dx'd with diabetes and then when I started low carb another 38 just melted away. Actually now I am trying to gain a few pounds, I never thought I would say that. It is all due to LC/HF diet and walking a few miles every other day and tennis once a week. I think the biggest help is forums like DF to get support when you need it.

Congratulations Eric. You've learned more in one year than I learned in seven. I appreciate your signature....honest and right to the point.

What a difference, totally amazing! Great job Murph. I can see why you are so cold, your insulation fell off.

Shanny, I'll do it with you! How do you plan to do it? You have already cut most of the carbs out of your diet.

When I say "LC/HF" diet, I mean really lavish fats! When I started eating extra low-carb, I started adding a smear of butter or something to slow the absorption of any lurking carbs . . . and I carried it to extreme. I could trim half the fats I eat and prob'ly not miss 'em. At least I'm gonna try. I started posting my weight along with fbg on the fbg thread at the first of the year . . . now I'll try to effect greater changes in those numbers! I guess we'll see what happens, won't we?

And now that spring may be in the offing, I'll be walking.
