Default Cholesterol Conundrum

Excellent video on cholesterol using an engineering and problem-solving approach. Heard this guy on Jimmy Moore's recent podcast.

Here's a new article by Dr. Mercola on Sat Fat.

Nina Teicholz has created a firestorm, hasn't she? I gotta read that book - dunno what's holding me up.

I'm almost finished with it. I'm alternately squeaking with joy, and pissed at the medical "establishment" and researchers who perpetrated the low fat/high carb myths for so many years. I saw a recent article in Huff Post by the current CEO of the AHA decrying the new information and saying it's just not supported by the evidence. Ha.

I bought the book after reading this review from Dr. Michael Eades, whom I have a lot of respect for :

Review of The Big Fat Surprise by Nina Teicholz

I have just started reading it.

This was priceless:

Quote:
She tells the story of how we Americans went from eating enormous amounts of saturated fat (all the while suffering virtually no heart disease) to now eating fats in restaurants that, when heated, throw off a shellac-like substance so toxic it requires workers in hazmat gear to clean up after them.
