Default Raining lemons this week

I need to vent because it has been raining lemons here this week and I am finding out what stress does to my numbers! My sister, the diabetic who was on the UNOS list awaiting a new heart, no longer is on the list. And the reason she is no longer on the list is that while she was under the watchful eyes of no less than 10 doctors, she developed multiple myeloma. If you don't know what that is, it is an incurable cancer of the bone marrow. Not only did they miss this, they missed by miles. She is in the last stage. And because of her heart condition they cannot do chemo. I was SO angry and upset the other day that my BS shot way up. Once I stopped crying I went for a walk to work it down. If we are lucky, she may live a year. I am trying to get her to the Mayo Clinic, where they have myeloma specialists. Thinking of taking up mediation to keep myself calm and my BS down. Otherwise MY doc will flip at the next A1C. Thanks for letting me rant. I feel a wee bit better.

My mil died of this after 10 years, but my neighbor had it for years and died of heart disease and a friend"s ex divorced her it after remission so it may not be so dreaded as thought. It is tragic and my heart goes out to you.

Wishing you and sis the very best!

I'm thinking you mean meditation to keep you calm. Great idea, walk a lot too it's great for mind and body alike.

Sending lots of positive thoughts and energy your way!

Thank-you to everyone for all the well wishes and positive thoughts! Yes, bignick, I did mean meditation. Sometimes I think my neuropathy has touched my brain.
