Default Trip to Endo

Tested my feet...all normal, I'm making insulin so I'm not Type I, kidneys were in good shape, no damage, looked at all my readings and stated I was doing great. He wasn't too concerned of my weigh loss, but he told me to eat plenty of high protein foods. Suggested taking me off Metformin and I told him I rather have regular doctor to do that.

So all in all, I seem to be doing pretty dang good, just wish I could get my weight back up at least to 100. That right there would make me feel so much better.

Patdart and MIKEYROBERT like this.

I wish you could gain a bit more too, Mimi . . . maybe you could add a coupla spoonfuls of cream to your shirred eggs - things like that. My goodness those sound good . . . methinks we'll have some this weekend!

Are you still losing weight? What are your average bgs? Sometimes when our bgs are too high, the energy from the food we eat can't get into the cells to be used for energy. Usually bringing bgs into a normal range should stop the weight loss. I would suggest eating as much protein like beef and fat as possible. I make lots of low carb/ high fat snacks which might work. You can also increase the protein of your baked goods by adding protein powder. Make smoothies with heavy cream, water , protein powder and whey. I also make some brownie type snacks with Chocolate whey powder, almond butter, nuts and a little splenda or other sweetner.

I was going to make this a new thread, but I'll try it this way...

I'm apparently allergic to whey powder and don't want to eat soy, so what choice is there for me?

Any help out there?

Don't have an answer for you Pat, maybe if you made a separate post, you may get an answer.

No, I'm not losing any more weight, but I've worked hard to gain what I've gained over the years something like 5 lbs and kept it there at 102-105 for years. I weigh like 95 in high school. This "smallness runs on my dad's side of the family, his sister probably weights not much more than me and she's gonna be 92 yrs in August. I tend to take after my grandma and this aunt. Believe me I'm doing what I can to gain a few more without overdoing my diabetes plan. I do have nervous energy too plus I work a lot and work it right on off.

Oh, I don't do "cream" so don't look for me to add it to my eggs. Shanny, they're good, I know you will enjoy.
