I see you guys talking about snacks and stuff all the time. How do you guys keep up the weight loss while eating all that stuff?

All my snacks are zero-carb, that's how. Deviled eggs, hot wings, cheese crisps . . .

I eat 3 meals and 3 snacks a day. Lost nearly 75 lbs now. Exercising for anywhere from 1 to 3hrs a day at a madman's pace will do that. I'm probably a little over-the-top that way.

I've gained 20 lbs since being diagnosed I think it's from the insulin and the food I have to eat at work... Hope to lose some weight over summer vacation.

I'm losing weight with plenty of snacks, but they're small (a handful of almonds)and my meals are modest. Once I stop losing, I'll need to see what I'm eating in calories - but in the meantime I'm enjoying not worrying about anything but carbs.

What does Senior member mean. Are you a senior citizen like over 70 I am really curious where my weight loss will end as I am feeling like I am too skinny already. Have not been at this weight for 30 years

Same as everybody else. Zero- or very low-carb snacks.

Also, my snacks are pretty small, and my meals are about the size my snacks used to be!

You can always add more fat & protein to your meals/snacks, and it won't mess up your BGL. Eric (thosebackpages) started eating more cheese awhile back to try & stop HIS weight loss. You guys be careful - we can't have you dry up & blow away!

The different member designations are based on number of posts I think . . . although there ARE plenty of us drawing our Social Security, now that you mention it.

I eat low carb and to minimize insulin use, eat 2 meals per day -- blunch at 10 am, and after-school snack about 4:30 pm! And lots of fat.

Works for me.

I DO snack on weekends ... but then I skip blunch. Does not work soooo well ... but still keep it low carb.
