Default Misinformation

So I was DX in April this year T2 A1C 7.1 and within three months of lchf woe I was 5.9.

With the help of this community, I learned what I needed to take control of this new way of life.

At the onset I decided I was going to study, research, and learn all I could about this down to the molecular level, and I'm absolutely amazed at how much misinformation keeps getting passed around out there as if it's scientific fact.

I'm on multiple Diabetic Facebook pages (not lchf) and keep seeing things like, "if you don't eat enough carbs, your body will make it's own carbs out of your fat and muscle" I do my best to put out the correct information that fat turns into ketones and EXCESS protein will be converted into glucose (not carbs) by the liver, but it just seems to go over their heads.

Hopefully with more information by 'experts' out there showing how it's healthy to eat low carb, and by the ADA standards, that would be extremely low carbs, and high fat, the message will start getting into the general Diabetic community at large.
