Default A 2015 Goal

In October this year I decided to give myself a novel new year present. And that present is myself without cental obesity. Glad to say that I expect to achieve the goal quite early in 2015, may be by January end or in February. I have already lost the prominent bulge of the tummy. In other words, the tummy has already lost its convex shape and is slowly on the way to becoming concave. I expect that by February I would be able to do the yoga posture called Uddiyana Bandha (upward abdominal lock) which I was not able to do for the past ten plus years because of central obesity.

For achieving my goal, I did not make any change in the composition of my diet meaning I continue to eat what I had been eating before. But I reduced the quantity of my food intake by about 10% (just a rough estimate by eyeballing.) I also increased my exercise (mostly high intensity interval training on the elliptical and brisk outdoor walking when the weather permits) also by about 10%. Since October, I have lost a little over 3 kg (6.6 lbs), apparently mostly from my tummy

Good for you! I certainly feel better physically carrying less weight. I like to be very active, walking, hiking, climbing and such. I'd love to drop another 5 or so pounds.
