79 (4.37) this already hot morning, 75 (4.15) at bedtime last night.

Going to see PCP and my Oncologist today. New blood work @ PCP. Dread going to town as it will be even hotter there.

When I thought to test it i had 101. I hadn't eaten but been awake for a couple of hours. Got to get in the groove of testing when I wake or keep cheese sticks by the bed...

No blame need be assigned, Dave; that isn't low. If you drop down around 50-55, then you can worry about going low, but even the official very-conservative guidelines don't consider 78 anywhere near low. I believe they designate 70 as the starting point, and even then, it isn't low enough to require treatment.

109. Went to cardiac rehab and that little bit of exercise did drop my blood sugar quite a bit. I will have to determine a temporary basal rate on my pump.

My morning reading today was 144, which bothers me because I don't understand why. Last night I had chicken crack slaw. I also made a chocolate mug cake and topped it with a dollop of whipping cream. Then around 9:30 or so, I wanted a snack, so I made 3 pieces of bacon and two slices of cheese. Still, my reading was higher than the day before.

Then I walked half an hour at lunch time and got a 97 reading after that, which is my lowest reading yet.

Clearly, exercise is a huge key. Maybe I should take a ten minute walk before I take my morning reading? But then, is that a true reading? I also take medical marijuana at night, for a chronic back condition and to help me sleep. It's an edible product, looks like a tootsie roll, and I take a slice that's less than 1/4" wide. I wonder if there is some sugar or carbs in that --- but how much could it be for that size dose? Anyway, that's how I'm doing today.

I'll see your low and raise you 20. 100 (5.6) for me after a short 3 .5 hour nap.

5.8 for me this morning. Work ends for the semester on Friday! Woohoo! Monday is D-day though...that's my first dentist appointment in over 20 years and there's going to be a lot of incredulous looks given by my dentist at just how bad my teeth and gums are. As you can all guess, I'm soooo looking forward to it!

92 / 5.1

Rhiannon, some evening can you take your BG level, take the medical marijuana, then test again at 1 & 2 hours? Even if there are no carbs in the product, some medications do seem to induce a glycogen release (raise BG level).
