FBS 45. Woke up with nausea and dizziness that was not like any low blood sugar feeling I've ever had. After breakfast I lay down on the floor with my feet up on a chair because I thought I would faint if I stayed vertical. Very slowly I began to feel better, but still strange. I wonder if it is related to the antibiotic I am taking for the surgery...Cephalexin. I don't believe I have taken it before.
Well, I'm on the mend, and thanks for the support. This afternoon I'll go work in a first grade class; all's well that ends well!
Happy Friday.

An 83 (4.6) this morning. Thought I had already posted but must still be waiting for send command on my laptop.

Supposed to be hot, but as long as the air conditioning keeps working at the casino we should be able to tough it out.

Think I've had this since 2003. Told I was Type 2 lean on 2/13/12.

103 this morning. I woke at 3 and was awake for more than an hour. Got up and had a cup of cottage cheese and was able to go back to sleep. Decided I have allergy I pray.

I take Coricedin but friend tells me Zyrtec works better for her. Any thoughts about that?

Zyrtec has never worked for me, but that isn't saying much. Congestion was always my worst symptom, because mouth-breathing makes me really miserable. Several years ago, the congestion went away on its own, so now that I no longer suffer with congestion, I don't take anything for my allergies.

Today is a bad day - a burning-eyes day, as I call them - when my eyes are more affected than my nose. It's a relief to not have a drippy nose, and to have decreased post-nasal drainage, but burning eyes are not a fair trade-off! Frequent face washing throughout the day, along with applications of moisturizing eye drops (polyvinyl alcohol) provide only very brief relief.

82 / 4.5

The combo of remembering to take my magnesium supplement (I failed to notice I had stopped during all the recent confusion) and upping my exercise level (the new neighborhood has an exercise facility and I'm not afraid to use it) seems to be helping.

Pat, I find Zyrtec seems to work best for me. But Clariton works almost as well. I think, as with so many things, response to antihistamines is highly individual.

This year I am taking a strong probiotic, drinking my bone broth, and eating a lot of fermented veggies (thank you, Bubbies). So far I am surviving the Autumn allergy season very well - not OTC meds needed (yet). Touch wood.

150 this morning.

Only one class today, 10:30-11:00 - cool!

I'm having IVIG infusion this weekend. It takes six hours each day, but I'll be really glad to have it! Looks like I'm getting arthritis in a lot of joints though, and it doesn't touch it. Rats.

It amazes me to hear so many of you reporting allergy-like symptoms. I've got the same thing up here in Connecticut.

I tried Flonase, but it didn't do a thing. Seems to be lessening on its own though.

I've often used Mucinex for impacted sinuses. It contains only an herb called guaifenisin so there are no side effects. It'll loosen everything up. Your nose may get runny, however.

Everyone have a blessed day!
