55 this am. We just got back from a windy walk up at the lake, and now down to the day's work. The heron came last night to look over the "new" pond. I wonder if it was to her liking. It won't be quite so easy to catch buckets full of fish now that it's full!
Happy Sunday.

A 100 (5.6) this morning.

Went to bed feeling chilly. Was pretty restless and got up at 1 AM wringing wet and sick to my stomach. BG, BP, and heart rate all higher than normal this morning.

42 this am.
The heron spent all yesterday afternoon fishing in the pond, slowly meandering around the edge. Then he flew up to the pomegranite tree to preen his beautiful feathers. Up at the lake we saw a pair of Mallard ducks and their tiny babies bobbing on the ripples, while overhead great flocks of geese formed and reformed their giant V's midst a chorus of honking. The choreography seems magical.
I hope your week starts well.

91 (5.05) Highest it's been in a while - about 30 minutes after I received a phone call from my doctor confirming I have breast cancer. A bit of stress influenced dawn phenomenon, methinks.

Snap Glwilso8, 86 for me this morning also. Well, getting packed up and ready for the 4 1/2 hour drive home. Thankfully the wind has calmed down and it should be nice drive. Had a good time, good food and even bringing some money back.

Mark, bummer, hope you are feeling better soon.

Neohdiver, not the call you want to get but you will kick it's but I am sure. GrammaB on this forum is a survivor.

96, my lowest in several days. Not a result of food I ate, just like when it's higher.

Dadgummit! I can relate to the you-have-cancer shock. That moment, and trying to process the information, is I think the worst part. Then, we just set about doing what we have to do ... with life put into an entirely different perspective.

So very sorry you have to deal with this

Snap Glwilso8 & Wally, 86 (4.76) here this morning too. 82 (4.5) at bedtime last night.

Neohdiver, I've gotten that call too. It is frightening/life changing, no question. As Moon said, once we process it, we have to move on to what needs to be done.

Since my Mom passed from breast cancer, I opted for a double mastectomy, no recon. It was small and early so no chemo or radiation. I am almost 3 years cancer free, my Oncologist just put me on 6 month check ups vs the every 3 months I had been doing. Will keep you in my prayers, hoping for a good outcome for you.

edit to add, I found a really good forum for breast cancer that really helped me alot: breastcancer.org
