Yes, it was full fat. And I measured a level 1/2 cup. I didn't just guestimate. So it should have been only 4 gms of carbohydrate and just plain ground spices. Nothing else. Certainly no sugar or anything. I love cottage cheese, too but haven't had it for a while. My bg is usually lower after breakfast so this was quite a shock.

MaJoie, cottage cheese is something I have to be careful about. I can only eat 1/4 cup for a part of a meal, or my bs spikes seriously. I love it, but it just wrecks my control. Sounds good with cinnamon and ginger...

It was good. But obviously off my list at least for a while. I didn't expect a spike from 4 gm carbs for the whole meal. I wonder what it is about cc. I probably will try just 1/4 cup at some point but I'm hesitant to eat it at all after that spike. And it stayed up, not a quick spike and right down again.

91 (5.06). Feels like a rock in my belly this morning - wonder if that has anything to do with my higher than usual BG.

45 this morning, 88 after breakfast and insulin. I'm helping in a class of very active third graders this morning as they work with paint to create Pacific Island pictures of palm trees against a colorful sunset background. Chickens and garden will wait!
It's another cold start to the day, but I hope it warms up a little. This wind is very drying, and hard to work in.
Enjoy this last Tuesday of April...how fast time goes by!

93 (5.2) this morning. Back to the land of the living I've been battling a nasty bout of pneumonia for the last couple of weeks. I knew something was up when I woke up to a 147 one morning but sure didn't see this coming.

Needless to say, my eating habits have been so bad, I haven't even seen a veggie in weeks
