50 this morning, but then it shot up to 235 so I had to take extra insulin. A raucous thunder storm just rushed through, but now I am going out to chickens and garden. Even the wind is calming down, so it should be a nice day to work.

267. Already saw doctor today and have new insulin in hand, so hopefully I will be 'fixed' tomorrow morning.

81 (4.5) Heading in for another crazy day of meetings! Coworkers will know by the end of the day that I have cancer - and, with luck, we will have decided who to hire as my new assistant!

98, I'm going in the right direction.

It's funny to say that, as with me it's pretty much the luck of the draw. I always eat the same foods from the same sources. I eat all real food no prepared, processed, or boxed. I have eliminated most everything that would cause a spike, even a small one like a couple of sliced beets on a salad. I eat nothing with even a small amount of sugar. I don't use fancy or name brand tea because I've heard some use sugar in the bag filter paper. As mentioned before, on occasion I will knowingly deviate for an item or even a meal and sometimes this will actually seem to help ultimately lower numbers after the spike.

Really, I feel I have no control beyond what I do at this point. A bit overcast out and warm.

32 FBS, 45 two hours after breakfast and insulin, 84 an hour after that. Yesterday I got caught in a terrific hail storm while planting carrots; it was great fun, and the sky put on a fine show. It's grey today, and perhaps more storm action will visit us.
The chicks are frantic in their new roomy abode. I sat with them quite a while last night, and they crawled all over me as I tried to get them to calm down and roost on their baby level roost. They ended up huddled together against a wall. They are fully feathered and in no need of heat, but they sure are used to cuddling. Henny Penny sat on the roost, embarrassed to be so close to the ground...but what could she do?
Happy Thursday.

80 (4.3) this morning. I think I am finally over the stubborn UTI that has been plaguing me for the last few weeks.
We have a 50-60% chance of thunderstorms starting later today through Saturday. Hoping for something out of this.
Horrible wildfire in Alberta, Canada with major devastation. Hope people there are able to get to safety.
