I didn't test FBG this morning. I've been higher than I like for quite a while. I can eat VLC with absolutely no cheats for a couple of weeks and still get numbers like 114, 109 etc. My 14 day average is now 107, 30 day average at 104. This is higher than I like but I feel I'm doing all I can. I tested just now about 2 hours after dinner at 91. This tells me not to stress over my high FBG numbers.

A 75 (4.2) this morning.

Not a couple of minutes after I submitted yesterday's FBG, #2 stone let me know it was still there. Another reminder last night, and still not passed. Maybe today the deed will be done.

122, Yikes! I tested again with my other brand of meter, got 121. It's what it is. So now why? After dinner I was 91. I had 1 light beer and some cheese and a snack before bed, slept well through the night.

Time to look at this closer. Will test while at work today.

88 (4.88) this morning. I hope this is a trend.
Weather remains steady and in the low 90's for daily highs. Looks like Summer is here.
Mark, hope you get rid of #2 soon. I know it's no fun.
@bignick, I agree that you should not worry too much about FBG as long as you are doing the best you can and your numbers are good the rest of the day your overall bg is what is important.

84 for me this morning. The temperatures are supposed to be in the high 90's again. I've been out in the garden since 6:00am, and I'm going back at it after this little break to visit my glucometer. BG was down to 56, but my quick snack should take care of that. I just planted a new bed in chard, and will finish digging up another bed of garlic to plant tomorrow.
Before me out the window is a hedge of Rose of Sharon in full bloom, a pretty sight.
Yup, it sure is summer. My friend is having her last day of kids today, but she has already started planning for next year. That's how teaching is, I remember.
Happy Thursday.

@grammaB - so sorry about your fall, and hope your soreness eased for your flight to CA.

Happy Birthday! Hope you're having a wonderful time, and enjoying your testing vacation.

45 this warm morning. The big, slow bumblebees are hard at work. I love watching them as they move from flower to flower. What a life, I think to myself, buried in the finest perfumes all day.
Happy Friday.

89 (4.93) this morning. So nice to be back in what I think of as my "normal". Getting ready for another warm day.

106, getting warmer and warmer here.

My FBG has been increasing over the last couple of weeks and I don't think my carbs have proportionally. In fact they may be decreasing slightly. I don't eat beets on my salads recently as they can be 1g carbs per slice.

I have been eating a lot of protein in the form of meats. I'm thinking maybe some of the protein may be converted to glucose that ends up in my blood early in the morning. I also think maybe my muscle and organ cells are insulin resistant so the glucose remains in the bloodstream where it will eventually disperse.

Any ideas on this?
